Bergen Power at the Core
Bergen Engines supplied four B33:45L diesel engines; two six-cylinder and two eight-cylinder units delivering a combined 16.8 MW. This configuration provides the power required for a fully laden ro-pax vessel operating year-round in open-water conditions.

Color Hybrid was developed to meet strict municipal environmental requirements, including zero-emission sailing within Sandefjord fjord and extremely low external noise levels during harbor operations. High-capacity shore charging of up to 7 MW ensures rapid energy replenishment between departures. During battery mode, emissions to air are eliminated locally, and noise levels are significantly reduced, enhancing
passenger comfort and minimizing impact on surrounding communities.
